Cedar Grove United Methodist Church
Making Disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World.
Celebrating 187 Years of Ministry ... and still counting.
The Black College Fund
Supporting Leadership for Life
     The Black College Fund provides
support for 11 historically Black
colleges and universities related to
The United Methodist Church.
These schools were among those
developed after the Civil War with
the primary objective of educating
those newly freed from slavery.
Because of the importance of these
institutions in giving hope to those
often denied access to higher
education, the 1972 General
Conference established the BCF as
an apportioned general church fund.
The Black College Fund sustains
libraries, faculty development,
research, capital improvements
and student services.
